Anatomy of a Social Media Relationship

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

They don't call it "social" media for nothing. So you see a guy you think is worth following. Sure, he's kind of sexy in his avatar picture but you're not actually trying to pick him up.   So what's the natural progression of social media mediums for you to take it to the next step? Check out my nifty flow chart, may or may not be based on actual experiences ;)

I think you and Drew Barrymore (aka "Mary") in "He's Just Not that into You" have a point: “I had this guy leave me a voice mail at work, so I called him at home, and then he emailed me to my BlackBerry, and so I texted to his cell, and now you just have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting.” It can't get any more spot on than that. Paul

It's so true, I counted the other day and there are 8 different ways to get in touch with me. Of course, if you try 4 and I don't get back to you, it's because I don't want to talk to you, lol.

Yowzas. Do you know of any romantic relationship born via social media that has lasted?

L.A.S, you know it's actually how I met Mr. Right(Now). We're not in a relationship, but I'll let you know how it goes ;)
